Tiq Personal Accident

1. Who is eligible to purchase Tiq Personal Accident?

You can buy Tiq Personal Accident if you are a Singaporean citizen, Permanent Resident of Singapore or foreigner with a valid Work Pass, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass or Long Term Visit Pass, aged between 17 to 70 years old.

The policy shall be renewed up to the maximum age of seventy-five (75) years subject to our satisfaction on Your state of health.

2. Who should purchase this plan?

We recommend this plan for everyone across all ages:

  • For those who love outdoor activities like cycling or jogging
  • For little explorers who might slip and fall during their adventures
  • For the self-employed or freelancer who does not have any insurance coverage

3. Can I buy Tiq Personal Accident for my spouse and children?

Yes, you can buy Tiq Personal Accident Insurance with your spouse and/or children under our Family Plan. You can cover your spouse and up to 9 children in the same plan.

4. Can I buy Tiq Personal Accident for my children who are younger than 17 years old?

Yes, you can buy Tiq Personal Accident for you and your children. With this, your children will be eligible for 20% of the Sum Insured under your selected plan.

For the child(ren) to be eligible under this Insurance plan, the following conditions must be met:

  • The child(ren) must be a legal child including stepchild and/or legally adopted child;
  • The child(ren) must be at least 1 year of age and not more than seventeen (17) years of age, or up to 25 years for full time students in a recognised tertiary institution;
  • The child(ren) must be wholly dependent on the Proposer or his/her legal spouse for financial support;
  • The child(ren) must be must be unmarried; and

The plan type of the child(ren)’s coverage is (are) the same as the Proposer or his/her legal spouse’s plan.

5. How long is the Period of Cover?

It is an annual plan with auto-renewal options enabled for selected payment options (e.g. credit card).

6. I entered my details wrongly. What should I do?

4. Are there any exclusions under the Tiq Personal Accident?

Yes, there are exclusions such as pre-existing physical defect or infirmity or any wilful or intentional acts of the Insured.

1. How can I pay for the policy premium?

Initial premiums can be made through the following options:

  • Debit card; or
  • Visa/ Mastercard / AMEX Credit card

2. What should I do if I missed my premium payment due date?

You can still make payment within 30 days from the premium due date. Your policy will be kept in force during this period but it will lapse if premium is not paid within this 30 days.

3. What is the payment frequency for this plan?

The premium will be paid on an annual basis.

4. What happens if I stop paying the premium?

If premium is not paid on time, this policy will lapse and your coverage will be terminated.

5. How do I know if my credit card payment is successful and the application has been completed?

For application that does not require further underwriting, you will receive a confirmation email with your policy number and policy documents after you have submitted your payment details.

6. What documents will I receive upon successful payment of my plan?

You will receive the following documents via email:

  • Official receipt;
  • Schedule; and
  • Policy Wording.

We will also send you a payment successful SMS and you can retrieve your policy schedule in TiqConnect the next day.

1. Is there a free look period?

You have fourteen (14) days from the date you receive the policy to exercise the free look, but we hope you will stay with us. Premiums paid will be fully refunded, if a claim has not been made under the policy.

2. Can I get a refund if I cancel my plan after the free look period?

There will be no refund for cancellation after the Period of Insurance has commenced and Free Look period has passed.

If you have a TiqConnect account with Etiqa, please log onto TiqConnect to submit your claims online. Otherwise, you may register for an account on our corporate website. Access can be created immediately.
